It seems that every modern-style bar in the country today has at least a couple of mezcal-based cocktails on their menu. This is a delicious but simple recipe to make, which balances mezcal beautifully with grapefruit. It is a variation on the paloma, which is typically made with tequila. This refreshing concoction is perfect for summer.
- 2 Ounces joven mezcal, such as Ilegal Joven
- .5 Ounce lime juice
- 2 Ounces grapefruit juice
- club soda
Combine mezcal, lime juice, grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker.
Strian into a cocktail glass and top off with club soda.
