The Only Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe You Will Ever Need

Chocolate chip cookies

The perfect chocolate chip cookie is hard to find but we do believe this is the one. With melty chocolate chips and some walnuts for texture, these won't last for longer than a day in your kitchen.

Keep in mind that you can also substitute white chocolate chips for chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces butter
  • 3/4 Cups sugar
  • 3/4 Cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temp.
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1 Cup bread flour
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 12 Ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup walnuts, toasted

Directions

In a bowl, combine and sift flours, baking soda and salt,

Cream the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add eggs one at a time while mixer is running.

Add vanilla extract and dry ingredients, then mix until smooth. Add the chocolate and nuts. 

Refrigerate the dough for 1-12 hours before use.

To bake, spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of dough on a parchment-lined sheet pan. 

Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
