Mixed Green Salad With Apple Pie Vinaigrette
Total time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 3 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mccormick apple pie spice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 apple, such as fuji or gala, with skin on, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 8 cup mixed salad greens
  • 1/2 cup julienne-cut cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup apple pie spice glazed walnuts (recipe link in notes above)
Directions
  1. Mix apple cider, vinegar, brown sugar and apple pie spice in small bowl with wire whisk.
  2. Gradually add oil, whisking until well blended.
  3. Cover apple slices with cold water.
  4. Add lemon juice.
  5. Let stand until ready to serve.
  6. Toss lettuce, drained apples, cheese and cranberries in large bowl.
  7. Drizzle with vinaigrette; toss lightly.
  8. Divide among salad plates.
  9. Sprinkle with glazed walnuts.
