In keeping with the Mayan apocalypse theme — and Christmas, of course — we bring you a punch recipe using a small-batch mezcal, made with organically farmed espadin agave from the high Sierra of Oaxaca, Mexico. Add some blood oranges, amaro, and ginger beer to the Sombra mezcal and you have a real party on your hands.
- 22 1/2 Ounces Sombra mezcal
- 37 1/2 Ounces Amaro
- 10 Ounces orange juice
- 6 Ounces agave nectar
- Four 12-ounce cans of ginger beer
- Blood oranges, to garnish
Add all ingredients to a punch bowl. Garnish with blood orange slices.
