Mango Pico de Gallo

This is great side dish to go with grilled meat

Mangos add a tropical sweetness to any dish. In this pico de gallo, the mango balances out the heat of the serrano chile, and the umami flavor of the fish sauce. It can be eaten as a side dish, or served alongside some charred cuts of meat.

For the Mango Pico de Gallo

  • 1 Tomato, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons white onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 Cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 Serrano chili, stem removed, finely chopped
  • 2 Ripe mangoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons fish sauce


For the Mango Pico de Gallo

Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix being careful not to beat or mash the mango. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
