Loaded Campfire Potatoes

Make your own cheese- and bacon-covered potatoes in the heat of the campfire’s flames
Campfire Potatoes


Tightly wrap your ingredients in tinfoil for an easy, tasty, campfire side dish.

  • 6 white potatoes, sliced ¼-inch thick
  • 1/2 Cup shredded cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons bacon bits
  • 2 Tablespoons diced green onion
  • 2 Teaspoons butter
  • Salt
  • Sour cream (optional)


Place all ingredients onto a large piece of tinfoil.

Wrap the foil round the ingredients securely. Cook in the fire for 45 minutes.

Top with salt and sour cream, to taste.
