At Williamsburg's Brooklyn Star, Irish owner Simon Gibbons' go-to dram is Power's, which he shakes into this cocktail made with port, cream, sugar, and a whole egg.
- 1 ounce Power's whiskey
- 1 ounce port
- 1/2 ounce cream
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
- 1 egg
- Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish
Shake liquid ingredients very hard with ice. Strain and serve up with grated nutmeg.
