High Color Buck Cocktail
A play on a buck (a ginger-based cocktail) and a Dark & Stormy. The addition of the strawberry is absolutely pandering to what the guests want, while remaining seasonal. Recipe courtesy of mixologist Nicholas Bennett of Porchlight in NYC

Ingredients
- 1 whole strawberry (muddled)
- .75 oz lime juice
- .5 oz ginger
- 1.5 oz rum
- .5 oz cruzan black strap rum (float)
- whole strawberry and a mint sprig, for garnish
Directions
- In a shaker tin, muddle one whole strawberry. Add the remaining ingredients (except the Cruzan Black Strap) and shake with ice. Fine strain into a Collins glass with fresh ice and top with soda. Float the remaining Cruzan Rum on the cocktail and garnish with whole strawberry and a mint sprig.
