This traditional recipe was made by my great-grandfather in Transylvania using his homemade wine and was added to my family's cookbook by my grandpa, John Menyes. It's the perfect cozy winter drink.
- White wine, preferably Riesling
- Sugar, to taste
- Cinnamon sticks
Heat the wine, but do not bring to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add sugar and cinnamon sticks and cover; let steep for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
