Zest up your cranberry sauce this holiday season by infusing it with ginger and onion. This relish is a great low-calorie option for Thanksgiving thanks to spray oil and no-calorie sweetener.

Lightly spray a medium saucepan with spray oil.
Add onion, ginger and a pinch of salt.
Cook over medium heat 5–7 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
Add cranberries and 2/3 cup water.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer gently 4 minutes, or until cranberry skins pop and mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to a bowl. Let cool to room temperature, about one hour.
Stir in pear and no-calorie granulated sweetener.
