Eric Johnson’s Malibu Black Pearl Cocktail

Enjoy this iced cocktail made made with lemon, orgeat syrup, and whiskey bitters.

Eric is one of San Diego’s top mixologists — with over 13 years of bartending experience – he was named Eater San Diego’s Bartender of the Year in 2013 and was listed among The Daily Meal’s top 25 bartenders in America.  He is currently the Mixologist and General Manager of Sycamore Den in San Diego.


  • 2 Ounces Malibu Black
  • 1/2 Ounce orgeat syrup (almond syrup)
  • 2 dashes barrel-aged whiskey bitters
  • Grated nutmeg
  • Ice
  • 3/4 Ounces fresh lemon


Combine Malibu Black, fresh lemon, orgeat syrup, and whiskey bitters in a highball glass and stir to combine. Add ice. Sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg. Enjoy!
