The Epic Bloody Mary.

What makes this Bloody Mary, served at Chicago's Dragon Ranch this New Year's Day for $28, isn't just the drink itself -- it's the garnish. Be forewarned, you'll need some solid skewer skills to build this massive garnish.

Ingredients

For the drink

  • 3 Ounces Dragon Ranch Moonshine
  • 3 Ounces Fris Vodka
  • 8 Ounces Guinness
  • 32 Ounces Bloody Mix

For the garnish

  • beef jerky
  • pork belly steam bun
  • spare rib
  • fried pickle
  • pimento-stuffed fresno chili
  • Salami
  • pepperoni
  • artichoke heart
  • pepperoncini
  • okra
  • celery stalk

Directions

For the drink

Fill a 64-ounce Mason jar completely with ice. Add ingredients and stir. Add more ice if necessary.

For the garnish

Start with a half celery stalk and push a skewer from the bottom of it with the pointed end facing up. Add items from garnish list in order on top of the skewer. Stop with the Fresno Chili being the last item. Top this with a slice of Jalapeno. Next put a full stalk of celery into the drink and lay the loaded half stalk across the rim of the jar and connect the 2 with a skewer. Next take one final skewer and put on the salami, pepperoncini, okra, artichoke heart and pepperoni and stick the skewer into the top of the celery stalk so it looks like the entire thing is on skewer.

Bloody Mary Shopping Tip

Buy your booze in bulk – transfer what you need into smaller bottles to stock your bar – you’ll save money and have enough leftover for your next party.

Bloody Mary Cooking Tip

Add another layer of flavor to your cocktails by making your own simple syrup – combine equal parts sugar and water with whatever aromatics you like – fresh herbs, whole spices, citrus, or chile peppers – heat to dissolve sugar and strain before using.
