Making apple sauce at home is easier than you think — add a few ingredients into your slow cooker and walk away. Come back after a few hours and your kitchen will smell of fall apples and cinnamon.
Add apples, sugar, and cinnamon, into the slow cooker. Mix everything together until it is well coated.
Add water, lemon juice and lemon zest.
Put the slow cooker on low and cook apples for 6 hours.
Try to create a balanced meal when shopping: look for a starch, a protein, and some greens.
When preparing meals try to avoid repetition of similar foods and flavors - aim for variety in textures, colors, and cooking methods.
