The one thing that's better than an Oreo and a glass of milk is a deep-fried Oreo with a chocolate drizzle. It might sound crazy, but this recipe shows you how truly easy it really is.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Bisquick mix, or any pancake batter
  • 1 Cup milk
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Oreos

Directions

Heat about 3-4 inches of oil in a large pan to 375 degrees.

While the oil is heating, combine the Bisquick mix with the milk and egg and whisk thoroughly to combine. When the oil is hot, dredge the Oreos in in the Bisquick batter. Place the dredged Oreos into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 60-90 seconds per side.

Deep-Fried Oreo Shopping Tip

Buy cooking oils with high smoke points like peanut, canola, and safflower which don’t break down at the high temperatures needed for deep-frying.

Deep-Fried Oreo Cooking Tip

Don’t overcrowd the pan – if too much food is added at once, the oil temperature will drop and the food will steam instead of brown.
