Make it your own! Whipped cream cheese and sea salt sub nicely for the cheese spread. And chopped bell peppers or seeded tomato, thinly sliced small carrots, sliced olives, or toasted nuts all make great toppers for this easy appetizer.
Bites can be baked up to 4 hours ahead without topping.
- 1 8-ounce can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or refrigerated seamless dough sheet, such as Pillsbury™
- 1 5.2-ounce container tomato basil or garlic herb spreadable cheese (about ⅔ cup)
- 2 Teaspoons fresh herbs, such as chopped chives or shredded basil
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Remove the dough from the can; do not unroll. Using a serrated knife, cut the dough into 20 rounds. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown, 9 to 12 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
Spread 1½ teaspoons of the spreadable cheese on each round. Top with some herbs.
