Cranberry Lime Simple Syrup Recipe

A perfect accompaniment for any number of cocktails, especially the "Are You Sure This Is A Margarita?"

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup water
  • 8 Ounces cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 lime, halved

Directions

Bring sugar and water to a boil, stir until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries and squeeze both halves of the lime into mixture. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until cranberries are coated in syrup but have not yet burst (about twenty minutes). Strain juice. Discard berries.
