Christmas Dessert Idea: Hot Cocoa

Enjoy a delicious cup of Nestlé Toll House Hot Cocoa and make any winter day special. Add a candy cane stirrer and you’ll have an easy Christmas dessert to serve at your holiday party!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 Cup baking cocoa, such as Nestle Toll House
  • 4 Cups milk
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, miniature marshmallows, or candy cane (optional)

Directions

Combine sugar and cocoa in medium saucepan; stir. Gradually stir in 1/3 cup milk to make a smooth paste; stir in remaining milk.

Warm over medium heat, stirring constantly, until hot (do not boil). Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows, or add candy cane if desired, before serving.
