Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound tomatillos
  • 1 - 2 cloves garlic - skin removed
  • 2 jalapeño peppers
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 large sweet white onion
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon mexican oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
  1. 1. Removed the outer skins from the tomatillos and rinse to remove any stickiness. 2. Slice thee jalapeño peppers in half and removed the white membrane and the seeds. 3. Coat a baking sheet with oil and place the peppers, tomatillos and garlic on the pan, skin up. 4. Broil in a preheated oven for about 8 - 10 minutes until the skin begins to blacken.Removed from the oven and cool. 5. Place all of the ingredients in a blender food processor and process until smooth. 6. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
