Berry Delight Parfait

This delicious parfait is packed with protein, since it's main ingredient is organic, plain, non-fat Greek yogurt. Munching on protein, like Greek yogurt, before you rock out in POUND class has been proven to increase the "after burn" of your workout, so you'll continue burning calories long after your drum solo is over. The benefits of this pre-POUND meal don't stop there! The Berry Delight parfait is sprinkled with just the right amount of whole grain granola which blends, nuts, seeds, and oats for energy and readily available, stable energy, which will come in handy to help you jump higher, strike harder and get louder all throughout class. To top it off, we balanced out this complete meal with berries- a perfect source of natural sugars. The last thing you want to do in POUND class is run out of energy, and with a few healthy sugars propelling you through your workout, you'll actually be able to exert more energy, push harder, and burn more calories overall.

Berry Cooking Tip

Don’t throw out your overripe fruit – instead blend into a smoothie or salad dressing, add to muffin batter, bake into a cobbler, or boil down with sugar and a little lemon juice to make jam.
