The Acai and Beet Smoothie.

The benefits of beets are huge: They help to purify the blood, enhance circulation, and support the kidneys... and that’s just the beginning. Unfortunately, not everyone likes beets. This recipe leans on the inherent sweetness and creaminess of roasted beets, but is balanced with citrus and acai flavors. A delicious and unique healthy treat.

Deliver Ingredients


  • 3/4 Cups roasted beets
  • 2 oranges, peeled, de-seeded, and segmented
  • 1 Cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 Tablespoons acai powder
  • 2 Cups ice
  • Sweetener, to taste


Blend together all the ingredients until smooth. Taste, and sweeten if desired.

Beet Shopping Tip

Look for vegetables that are firm and bright in color – avoid those that are wilted or have wrinkled skins, which are signs of age and damage.

Different vegetables have different cooking times – cook different types separately and then combine.
