The 59th annual Grammy Awards are set to take place Feb. 12, and there are already a few big debuts on the horizon: Katy Perry’s new single “Chained to the Rhythm,” Beyoncé’s baby bump, and Absolut Lime. The latest flavor in the vodka brand’s repertoire is set to debut this weekend during music’s biggest night with a signature cocktail: the Absolut Limelight.
In a statement, Nick Guastaferro, director of marketing for Absolut, said: “We can’t think of a better place to officially launch Absolut Lime than the Grammy Awards. Music has an inherent ability to bring people together in unique, unexpected ways — which is at the heart of Absolut’s DNA as a leader in nightlife, inclusivity and unexpected social connections. Absolut Lime offers a new, refreshingly simple way for consumers to reimagine their cocktail, nightlife and social scenes.”
Though a signature cocktail for a major award show could be incredibly difficult to make, the Absolut Limelight is shockingly easy to replicate at home. With just four simple ingredients, the freshness of citrus is allowed to shine through. So sit back, watch the Grammys, and drink like a rock star with this cocktail.
