The three base ingredients in this smoothie are excellent sources of nutrients that are heart-healthy and may prevent certain types of cancer.

Ingredients
- 1 Cup coconut water
- 1 bunch carrots (4 or 5, cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 1 apple cut into 4 pieces (I used Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 Teaspoon turmeric
- 1 Teaspoon honey optional
- 3 cubes ice
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a high-powered blender.
If the smoothie is too thick add more coconut water.
If it's too thin add another cube of ice or another carrot.
