Outstanding In The Field To Be Hosted At Thaxton's Organic Garlic Farm

On Saturday, Aug. 25, Thaxton Organic Garlic in Hudson, Ohio, is hosting an Outstanding in the Field dinner again.

Farmers Chris and Fred Thaxton, both science teachers, own the sustainable farm and are hosting this event.

Oustanding in the Field is a self-proclaimed restaurant without walls. The event travels the country setting up long tables in different sustainable settings: farms, gardens, island ranches, and more. The food is almost always local.

Brian Goodman, chef at The Greenhouse Tavern in Cleveland, will be the chef for the evening and will be serving his classic Tavern dishes like braised pork shin, as well as creating originals like garlic and corn flan. 

"We're excited to work with Thaxton's Organic Garlic Farm again this year for this celebration of garlic," Goodman said. "I think it's an amazing opportunity to dine on the farm with family and friends." 

This farm dinner will begin at 3 p.m., and tickets are $180 per person.
