Oakhurst, California, Arranges Its 21st Annual Fall Festival

On Oct. 12 and 13, Oakhurst, Calif., will host its 21st annual fall festival. The festival, formerly known as the Oakhurst Chocolate and Wine Festival, has grown to offer a wide array of foods and drinks, though chocolate and wine still play a prominent role at the event.

"There will be ample amounts of wine from regional wineries to sample as well as offering from numerous chocolatiers," Darin Soukup, executive director of the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce, said in a press release. "The event has much more to offer as well, with artisanal cheeses, nuts, as well as beers from regional microbreweries."

Local restaurants have been invited to provide a wide variety of menu options, and several vineyards and breweries will showcase their best products. With a $2 admission fee and $1 tasting tickets, the festival is aiming to be an accessible and family-friendly event.

Besides food and drink offerings, the weekend will be full of activities for children, including a petting zoo and a dunk tank.

The fall festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13 at the Oakhurst Community Park.
