Wendy’s Dives into BBQ with New Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Wendy’s is trying to hit the Barbecue Belt’s sweet spot.

Wendy’s is taking on BBQ with three brand-new menu items: a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, BBQ pulled pork cheeseburger, and BBQ pulled pork fries. You’ll be able to customize all that piggy, cheesy goodness with three different sauces: smoky, spicy and sweet. Why? Wendy’s says it believes that customers deserve high-quality barbecue outside the South, where ‘cue reigns supreme.

“We’re known for our menu innovation, and our new BBQ Pulled Pork offerings deliver on the taste, quality, and customization our customers have come to expect,” said Brandon Solano, Senior Vice President, Marketing. “We’re giving customers the BBQ choices and flavors they deserve with the convenience of their local Wendy’s.”

The sandwiches cost $4.99 each, and the cheese fries will cost $2.99. Wendy’s is also calling upon all smoky and saucy fans to make BBQ the official national dish of America by signing this petition.
