Eric Ripert Releases Caviar Line

Retail seems to be the next big thing: Just as Blue Hill releases its line of yogurts (yes, yogurt), Eric Ripert debuts his very own caviar, created with Paramount Caviar.

According to a press release, the Le Bernardin chef has re-released his caviar, which was first released last November. The caviar, available in 2-ounce tins for $275 or 4-ounce tins for $525 (also, 8ounces for $1,050), features a golden sturgeon roe farmed in Italy and China. Completing the package: 16 handmade blini from France and crème fraîche, obviously.

Ripert fans can also get some more of the Good & Evil chocolate, which the chef created with Anthony Bourdain, created from Pure Nacional cacao. The chocolate is over at Dean and Deluca and online, for a more affordable $18. Next up, smoked salmon à la Daniel Boulud? Or perhaps a Thanksgiving menu? We can only hope. Guess food products and partnerships are the classier versions of cookware lines.
