Must-Have Ingredients For Fall Cocktails

While the kids have gone back to school and football season has already started, it's not officially fall until Saturday's equinox. And to properly celebrate this celestial milestone, you need to fix some appropriate cocktails.

Try whipping up top bartender and Liquor.com advisory board member Willy Shine's modern classic the Bowery Orchard (pictured above), featuring Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey and autumnal favorite apple juice. Want more fruit flavor? Make the Hudson Highland Cup that calls for apple butter and cider in addition to smooth Highland Park 12-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky and rich maple syrup.

Another fall all-star is pomegranate, which is in peak season and works very well in a range of drinks. If you're a fan of its sweet-and-tart juice, mix up the bubbly and gin-based Cerise Light or the blackberry- and rum-based Reserve Luxury Daiquiri.

And when we begin pulling out our sweaters and warm coats, it triggers a craving for warm concoctions, including Hot Toddies, Hot Buttered Rums, and Irish Coffees, which we like even with only a slight chill in the air. Here's to autumn!
