Model Daisy Lowe Shares Favorite Dishes
British model Daisy Lowe dispelled stereotypes about hungry, size zero fashionistas in an interview with New York Magazine's The Cut.
Lowe became interested in cooking and entertaining after buying a home in London when she became ill due to her strenuous modeling schedule, an impressive resume including the titles of muse to Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld and campaign model for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry, to new a few.
She now proudly cites Bolognese, roasts, and vegan baked goods as some of her favorite things to make for friends in her kitchen, referencing her use of raw chocolate with exotic ingredients such as goji berries, mesquite powder, and agave.
Technically a larger size for the modeling community (she is a U.K. size 8-10), Lowe has been an ardent supporter of eating healthily in a world that so often supports not eating at all. Refusing to deprive herself, Lowe cites mindful moderation and balance as key to feeling good about oneself and achieving a sense of positive body image. A model that eats chocolate and loves to cook? We're sold.
