Mario Batali's Sons Releasing Cookbook

Well it looks like kid chef Flynn McGarry has some competition; Mario Batali has announced that The Batali Brothers Cookbook will be released this Christmas, and the authors just happen to be his pre-teen sons, Benno and Leo.

"They gave [a version] to me as a 50th birthday present two years ago, and we've been dancing around it for a while, wondering what to do," Batali told Grub Street.

Harper Collins has reportedly signed on to publish the cookbook, rolling out as an e-book this Christmas and as a hard copy in the spring. "The boys cook, they love it, they are truly great kids... for all the bullsh*t around me, being their father is the most important thing in my life," Batali said. To get a glimpse of what to expect, Leo's recipe for his Sloppy Joes is on The Chew's website, and so far the reviews have been positive.
