Magnum Ice Cream Makes Its U.S. Debut

After delighting Europeans for decades, Magnum ice cream is now available for the first time in the U.S. Released to American markets nationwide late last month, we decided to taste the bars for ourselves after receiving a shipment yesterday. While a number of The Daily Meal staff members had enjoyed Magnum ice cream while overseas, the general consensus was underwhelming. We tried the classic, almond, and double chocolate flavors; however, the bars are also available in double caramel, white, and dark varieties.  

In conjunction with the debut, Magnum enlisted legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to direct a series of commercials promoting their frozen confections. Check out the advertisements, which star American actress Rachel Bilson, below.
