KTCHN To Open In THE OUT NYC June 22

Just in time to catch the excitement of Gay Pride revelers, KTCHN Restaurant in THE OUT NYC — New York's groundbreaking straight-friendly urban resort, will open this Friday in Hell's Kitchen. The restaurant, born out of a partnership between THE OUT NYC and the owners of the Hell's Kitchen restaurants eatery nyc and Whym, will offer a much-needed culinary destination on West 42nd Street between 10th and 11th avenues.

Designed by Paul C. Dominguez, KTCHN offers a vibe for every type of diner — featuring an airy, social, street-facing café with a sleek vibe in the front, and a striking, plush dining room in the back with sumptuous chenille fabrics, bamboo floors and communal tables. KTCHN packs picnics to eat in the hotel courtyard for the outdoorsy types and will even deliver straight to the comfort of a room in THE OUT for those feeling reclusive.

Led by executive chef Schnell (previously of Setai Fifth Avenue), KTCHN features creative New American fare much like the upscale comfort food for which sister restaurant eatery nyc is known — menu items include braised cherry wood smoked bacon with crisp artichokes, golden polenta, and blue cheese vinaigrette or Today's Oyster, topped with white peach granita and pumpernickel.

If nothing else, come for the original cocktail list developed by Duane Fernandez Jr., NYC master mixologist, featuring drinks like "Steaming Hot," which blends serrano chile-infused Russian standard vodka, St. Germain, and lime juice, all topped with sparkling wine.
