What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Krispy Kreme? Sugary-sweet glaze, vats of frying oil, and light-as-air doughnuts, of course... but most likely not the term "organic." But the company is looking to change that notion by introducing a new breakfast product — oatmeal.

Krispy Kreme Organic Instant Oatmeal is now available at participating locations across the U.S. and Canada; it's made with whole-grain oats and comes with a variety of toppings, like a dried fruit blend, apple cinnamon medley, and natural brown sugar.

Maybe Krispy Kreme will expand their venture into the world of breakfast foods with an egg and cheese doughnut sandwich, or French toasted-doughnuts? Ah, the possibilities.
