Justin Warner Becomes New Food Network Star
Contestant Justin Warner from Brooklyn, N.Y., is known for his unique character and wildly creative recipes on this season's Food Network Star. Just last night, Warner's wacky innovation led him to the top, and he took home the grand prize as the eighth Food Network Star, securing a contract for a cooking show on Food Network that will debut in the fall.
Warner was mentored by equally quirky Alton Brown, who said he was instantly drawn to Warner during auditions. "I'm pretty sure it's because I thought I saw a little me in him," Brown admitted in a recent press release. "Deep down, we all want to replicate ourselves."
Brown led "the rebel with a culinary cause" to success after enduring grueling culinary competitions on the show. The two will continue to work together as Brown produces Warner's new cooking show, which is sure to be a huge hit with fans.
Justin Warner is the owner and chef at Do or Dine, a contemporary American restaurant in Brooklyn that, like him, pushes culinary boundaries. The establishment offers creative combinations, like foie gras doughnuts, duck with kiwi sauce, and deviled eggs with crawfish.
According to Bob Tuschman, general manager and senior vice president of Food Network, "We are thrilled to welcome [Justin Warner] and his distinct culinary voice to Food Network."
