International Barbeque Cookers Association Cook-Off Returns To Texas
Texas is brimming with barbecue restaurants (see The Ultimate BBQ Road Trip), and one of the largest barbecue events in Texas, the 29th Annual International Barbeque Cookers Association Cook-Off, returns to Traders Village in Grand Prairie, Texas, Oct. 13 and 14.
More than 100 seasoned barbecue masters and "weekend patio chefs" will prepare more than 600 dishes for judges in an attempt to win cash prizes during competitions like the International Barbeque Cookers Association Invitational and the backyarder chicken competition during the two-day event.
Visitors get a firsthand look at how serious competitors can get while tasting what is being cooked up. Visitors are also encouraged to talk to competitors to gain practical barbecue tips from the pros.
