The holidays are pretty much synonymous with giant boxes of candy canes that go uneaten, then stored, then thrown away months later.

Luckily, Discovery Channel's How It's Made series gives us the behind-the-scenes look at how candy canes get into those big boxes, and it's actually pretty interesting. So now anytime somebody brings over a box, you can launch into a diatribe about the process of candy cane making and (maybe) bore their heads off so they'll never bring candy canes again.
