You can benefit from having bacon at breakfast every once in a while.

After the World Health Organization announced that processed meats are carcinogens, bacon-lovers around the country saw their world start to crumble. Putting processed meats in the same category as cigarettes and asbestos may have you worried, but this does not mean that having bacon every once in a while is the same level of dangerous as smoking.

In fact, you can still benefit from eating bacon every once in a while due to the nutrient composition. Bacon is filled with B vitamins that promote a healthy immune system. It’s also high in protein, which will help you stay fuller longer. Protein is important for keeping you energized and promoting strong hair, skin, and nails.

Why you may keep your guard up during breakfast, having bacon every once in a while is not the same as smoking a cigarette. So, enjoy bacon in moderation, just as you do everything else.
