Although your diet soda clocks in at zero calories, it is filled with artificial sweeteners, high levels of sodium, and artificial colors. Drinking diet soda consistently could put you at risk for stroke, heart attack, osteoporosis, and type 2 diabetes. All of these health problems could further increase your risk for cancer.
Consuming certain things in moderation could save you from a high risk of cancer but if you are skeptical, avoid these foods and drinks that have little or no nutritional value.
