This cocktail, on the menu at hotspot Lani Kai in New York City, is everything a good summer cocktail should be — strong, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Created by Clover Club bartender Brad Farran, this perfectly balanced cocktail features Beefeater 24, a gin crafted with 12 different botanicals.
Ingredients
- 1-2 shiso leaves, plus one for garnish
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- 1 ½ ounces Beefeater 24 gin
- ¾ ounce grapefruit juice
- ½ ounce dry vermouth
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- Ice
Directions
Muddle the shiso leaves in simple syrup then add the remaining ingredients to the shaker. Shake with ice and fine strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a fresh shiso leaf.
