Don't be intimidated by fancy French cooking. This versatile meringue recipe is simple to make and has just two — that's right, just two — ingredients. Save the egg yolks for another use, like emulsifying salad dressing.

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 Cup granulated sugar


Place the egg whites in the bowl of an electric mixer and begin to whip on medium-high speed. Slowly add the sugar as the egg whites become light and frothy; continue to whip to the desired consistency.
