Food Network Relaunching iPhone App

Here's another tool to keep you up to date on all your Food Network addictions: Food Network is relaunching its iPhone app to include more videos, galleries, and behind-the-scenes content, a representative tells us.

Titled Food Network on TV (formerly known as the less catchy/branded "Nighttime"), the app will have full episodes of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (for Guy Fieri fans), as well as Good Eats, plus videos from Food Network Star, Chopped, and Barefoot Contessa.

"It's definitely what our fans asked of us, since people love Barefoot Contessa and Chopped. We wanted to make sure they were included," Leora Schachter, VP of Digital Strategy and Planning at Food Network, told us.

The app's programming will change on a monthly basis, Schachter said, but the main show (this time Food Network Star, will always be featured. There will also be a TV schedule, recipes, photos, etc. Somehow, this just seems like the web site in app form, but Schachter promises app-specific content like blooper reels and deleted scenes.

An iPad version of the app will be released in June, she says.
