Juicy And Affordable Burgers In Harvard Square

In the heart of the university town of Cambridge, Flat Patties is an all-time favorite for hungry college students looking for a quick, juicy burger or sandwich at an affordable price. I was introduced to Flat Patties while visiting a friend at Harvard. She was thrilled to venture outside the cafeteria for a night and recommended the burger joint due to its popularity among students. Other bustling cafés, restaurants, popular clothing stores, and a trendy outdoor seating area surround this 2010 Winner Best of Boston and Most Affordable restaurant.

Take-out is available if you are in a rush, but the seating area is popular because of the casual, cozy, and social atmosphere. This high-quality fast food joint offers a variety of hamburgers, sandwiches, and classic sides. I was impressed at the options for toppings and sides such as avocado, mushrooms, an assortment of cheeses, onion rings, and home-cut fries.

I would highly recommend the classic burger with chili cheese fries. The burgers come with a special house sauce, which has a yummy, unique flavor and is a great addition to any meal. Every burger is ground fresh daily, which makes a huge difference when compared to the typical "mystery meat" fast food burger. If you still have room after a full meal, try one of the milkshakes or frozen custards. Homemade toppings include dulce de leche, toffee butter crunch, and candied pecans.

If you are looking for a great fast and affordable all-American meal, stop by Flat Patties at 33 Brattle Street in Harvard Square. Join the hundreds of college students and locals who have made this joint a hotspot in Cambridge.
