The Federal Bar Unveils Breast Cancer Awareness Dessert Specials

With a week left, the North Hollywood bar adds 2 new desserts to its menu

Bi-coastal entertainment group The Knitting Factory Entertainment may have closed the doors to their eponymous Los Angeles outpost in 2009, but they’ve since bounced back with NoHo’s The Federal Bar on Lankershim Boulevard. The popular establishment has been the site of such events as the Rebels of Comedy and the Beer and Magic extravaganza.

Now the trendy eatery is adding two pink dessert specials to its menu to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a strawberry shortcake shake studded with cake chunks and the aptly named "Very Breast Pizza" with its sugary crust and sweet candy sauce. The desserts are available from Oct. 25 to Oct. 31, and with every purchase a percentage of proceeds go towards the City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif.
