Ingredients
  • 1 whole-wheat english muffin, split
  • 2 tablespoon low-sodium tomato sauce
  • broccoli, pepper, mushrooms, and tomatoes, for toppings
  • 1/3 cup fresh, shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
  1. Before you get cooking, make several "flashcards" by writing different fractions on them.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Spread tomato sauce on split English muffin halves. Let your kids draw from the "fraction flashcards" and then decorate the pizza with vegetables to match the selected fraction. Cooked broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes are some of our favorites. Sprinkle with fresh mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven for 8 minutes. Watch out or you might have some fun next time your at the local pizzeria! We’ll take 3/5’s green peppers, 1/3 with onions, and 7/8’s with mushrooms!
