Exquisite Dining At The Barrymore

If you're looking for an intimate fine dining experience in Las Vegas where the food is glorious, then The Barrymore may just be your dream come true. I recently had the pleasure of having dinner there on a trip to the area, and everything from the food to the atmosphere was utterly magnificent.

Even the ceiling was fabulous. It was made out of old movie reels, and it instantly captured my attention. What a creative accent!

The decor was so inviting, it was love at first sight. But, of course, the reason we all go to restaurants is for the food — and The Barrymore delivered on that as well!

We started off with individual appetizer sampler plates complete with roasted artichoke (with salsa verde, Parmesan cheese, & extra virgin olive oil), lobster mac & cheese (with a truffle mascarpone-talegio cream sauce), & rock shrimp. It was all super delicious, but I have to confess that I was especially fond of the rock shrimp. I could have literally eaten a whole platter of them!

For my entree, I went with the short ribs with root vegetables, cipollini onions, and a red wine glaze. The dish was nothing short of perfection. The meat was so tender, it could be cut with a spoon. The flavor was rich and hearty, and everything you hope for when you bite into a short rib. The root vegetables were equally excellent, and all the flavors melded wonderfully.

Even though I didn't order it, I might have stolen a bite or two of one of my acquaintances' dish — pan roasted duck and confit leg with heirloom carrots and orange sauce. Absolutely delicious!

The ambiance, the food, the service — everything exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend The Barrymore to anyone who wants a truly glorious restaurant experience from  beginning to end.
