Ellen DeGeneres Takes Over The Food Blogosphere

Is there anything that Ellen can't do? This week, famed comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres can securely check "online media mogul" off the list in her continued quest for world domination. The AOL Lifestyle website "Going Vegan With Ellen" launched complete with tips on how to transition into a vegan lifestyle, a host of informational resources, and quick and easy vegan recipes contributed by her celeb pals like Bethenny Frankel. In a time when consumers are getting more and more health-conscious about their eating habits, Ellen may just popularize vegetables in the way that Oprah brought dieting to the forefront of the average household.

How can you get started? According the site, a great way to get started is to do some investigating. See if you can find vegan-friendly stores and restaurants in your neighborhood that you didn't even know existed. Ask your vegan or vegetarian friends where they shop. If you don't have any vegan friends, see if you can make some! Apparently, neo-veganism is all about sharing information and joining a community.

Ellen also finds herself in good company with other well-known celebrity vegan food blogs like actress Alicia Silverstone's, "The Kind Life" and Olivia Wilde's "Wilde Things." However, celebrity food blogs are nothing new — with the success of Gwyneth Paltrow's weekly lifestyle newsletter GOOP and former "Living Color" star, David Alan Grier's DAG's Food Blog, Ellen's camp is going to have to keep churning out fresh content in order to stay relevant. Something tells you, Ellen's got this one covered.
