Would You Bathe With Beer? One Brand Hopes You Will

Beer fanatics can now take their passion for brews to a whole new level. Carlsberg, the Danish brewing company, just released a line of grooming products that each contain half a liter of beer.

The new line includes shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The main ingredients in beer are barley, hops, and yeast, which are rich in vitamin B and silicium and are believed to have beautifying properties for both hair and skin.

"We found out that 62 percent of men use their wives' or girlfriends' beauty products. So there is this need for products targeting the men," said Sidsel Jensen, sensory science manager for Carlsberg, in a video.

In order to make this manly beer-based grooming product, Carlsberg had to get creative. 

"The beer is freeze-dried into a powder, and then mixed with organic ingredients in order to create a unique series of products," Carlsberg brewmaster Eric Lund said in a press release.
