When Does Hardee's Stop Serving Breakfast?
The menu at Hardee's features everything from burgers to chicken sandwiches to grits to peaches-and-cream-cheese fried pie, but the Tennessee-based fast food chain would likely be nothing without its biscuits. According to the brand's website, its "designated biscuit makers rise before the sun at 4 a.m." and make each batch from scratch every 15 minutes to produce "biscuit clouds of flaky, buttery goodness."
Unsurprisingly, biscuits are featured heavily on Hardee's breakfast menu. For that reason, it's no surprise that the morning is a particularly popular time for Hardee's fans to hit the drive-thru. And while you can always order a biscuit on the side at any time of day, there's only a small window of time each day in which the coveted baked goods are used as buns for sausage-heavy breakfast sandwiches. Read on for the lowdown on Hardee's breakfast hours, plus some of its star menu items to start your day.
Breakfast ends at 10:30 a.m.
If you're a late sleeper who's jonesing for a Hardee's breakfast, be sure to set an alarm. Most Hardee's locations sling breakfast between the hours of 6 a.m and 10:30 a.m. (But if you find yourself craving a fast food burger at the crack of dawn, you'll be glad to know that the Hardee's grill is ready with the chirping birds.) Hardee's is open for breakfast every day of the year, with the exception of Christmas Day.
If you're annoyed that breakfast isn't served all day, don't take it out on Hardee's. It appears that a 10:30 a.m. breakfast cap is par for the course at lots of fast food establishments, including Wendy's, Burger King, and most McDonald's locations. There was a time when McDonald's served breakfast all day long, but the brand told Yahoo! Life that it removed that option in March of 2020 to "simplify kitchen operations." However, as noted in a Facebook post from 2019, Hardee's did try extending breakfast hours until 2 p.m. for a limited time.
Biscuits and sausage reign supreme
When you stop by Hardee's for breakfast, you will almost certainly leave with a biscuit. As mentioned above, biscuits are the chain's shining star — and customers appear to think they shine most brightly at breakfast. There are eight (count 'em, eight) biscuit breakfast items options on the menu, including a classic Sausage & Egg Biscuit, a Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit, a Biscuit 'N' Gravy, a Country Fried Steak Biscuit, and a Loaded Omelet Biscuit with crumbled sausage, bacon, ham, and American cheese. The breakfast menu also features French Toast Dips, which come with a side of maple syrup for dunking.
Many of those items are available in breakfast combos, which come with Hash Rounds (bite-sized hashbrowns) and a cup of coffee. One of the better deals you can get at the chain is a 2 for $5 breakfast deal, which, as of March 2023, allows you to choose two of three available items (the French Toast Dips, the Sausage & Egg Biscuit, and the Biscuit 'N' Gravy) for $5.
