We Spoke With Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck About Cooking For The Holidays And Running A Hospitality Empire

Just in time for Thanksgiving, The Daily Meal staff was lucky enough to get a hold of celebrity chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck for some holiday menu inspiration, as well as some insight on what it takes to run a hospitality empire that spans the globe.

Recently, Puck also announced that he is gearing up to open his first-ever New York City restaurant, an outpost of his modern steakhouse CUT by Wolfgang Puck to theĀ Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.

CUT will be a modern steakhouse. It will be sexy and have a great lounge. The menu will be seasonal with great local ingredients #TDMasksWP

We waited 25 years to open our flagship in NYC so hospitality and service will be on another level here. Just you wait! #TDMasksWP

Recently, the chef also opened CUT by Wolfgang Puck in Singapore, where the menu aims high.

@BeefWerky @thedailymeal everybody in Singapore knows we serve the best steaks in Asia. Or, Chef Josh's lobster with truffles! #TDMasksWP

@BeefWerky @thedailymeal and don't forget the chocolate souffle! @#TDMasksWP

As for the next few days, chef Puck will be focused on Thanksgiving, like the rest of us. His family's favorite dish is Puck's own pumpkin soup with roasted apples and cranberries, while his leftover turkey gets turned into quesadillas, per his children's request.

We always have leftover turkey and the next day we make turkey quesadillas, Alexander and Oliver my kids love them! #TDMasksWP

For entertaining in the cold weather months, Puck has two suggestions:

@CourtneyNachlas If you are in cooler area deck out your outdoor fire place, or in Iceland set up your igloo with lots of vodka! #TDMasksWP

Finally, the chef shared a formula for success that looks pretty hard to disagree with:

@michaelannrowe I believe it's 90% hard work and 10% talent. Becoming successful is not the challenge, it's staying consistent! #TDMasksWP
