ConAgra Recalls 84,340 Pounds Of Marie Callender's And Molly's Kitchen Products Over Undeclared Allergen

ConAgra Foods has issued a recall for 84,340 pounds of two beef products — Marie Callender's Salisbury Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Home-Style Gravy and Molly's Kitchen Macaroni & Beef with Tomato Sauce — over incorrect labeling and the presence of an undeclared allergen, anchovies.

Both products were "inadvertently formulated with Worcestershire sauce," according to a recall notice from the USDA and thus may contain anchovies.

The products were produced and packaged between April 13 and 14, with Worcestershire sauce mislabeled as "Rochester sauce." The Marie Callender's frozen items were shipped to retail distribution centers nationwide, while the items produced for Molly's Kitchen were shipped for use in a nationwide institutional facility. Both products are labeled with the establishment number "EST. 1058" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

So far, no adverse reactions have been reported due to consumption of the products. Consumers who may have purchased the affected items are urged to throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
