Biscuit Expert Holler & Dash To Open In Atlanta

Holler & Dash Biscuit House is passionate about biscuits. In mid-August, it will bring this passion and its Southern hospitality to its newest location in West Midtown Atlanta in the Westside Iron Works space on Howell Mill. With four other locations throughout the South, this biscuit-maker has established a reputation for melt-in-your-mouth biscuits paired with savory and sweet breakfast food. With its emphasis on social responsibility, fresh and local ingredients, and house-made products, Holler & Dash is sure to become a neighborhood favorite.

Some of the classics on menu include the "Chicken Set Go," which features smoked pimento cheese, pickled jalapeños for a little spice, and the iconic Southern sweetener sorghum; and the "Strawberry and Dash," an open-face take on strawberry shortcake with Creole cream cheese, marinated strawberries, and house-made whipped cream. Hungry yet?

According to chef and culinary director Brandon Frohne, the Atlanta location will have several unique city-specific biscuits. These have not yet been announced, but "each will have its own personality," per Frohne. All the biscuits on the menu are "creative takes on heirloom Southern recipes" with the perfect base — the biscuit.

The biscuits will be made fresh daily and will leverage ingredients from local and regional partners, some of whose products will be sold front of store. Some local goods include Doux South pickles and local coffee and craft beers.

Other crowd favorites to order include the "Tot Bowl" with a "Hollerback" sauce based on traditional "Mississippi Comeback Sauce," which consists of a ketchup base, garlic, pepper (for a kick), and other spices. This slightly sweet (and a little tangy) sauce keeps this item at the top of the menu, as do the Cheddar, bacon, and scallion accompaniments.

For dessert, order the house-made beignets coated in powdered sugar and served with coffee dipping sauce.

The restaurant will include locally sourced decor, and the open kitchen will allow diners to watch the biscuit experts at work. The restaurant will be designed to be friendly and inviting for brunch-goers.

Check it out in mid-August! Holler & Dash will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
